IRCNA 5: 25 Years of Narcotics Anonymous in India:

25 years ago, some addicts in Mumbai were seeking recovery. After much difficulty, Narcotics Anonymous was born in India. About five years later, Kolkata area was born, so Kolkata Area has turned 20. In 2008 we are celebrating the Silver Anniversary of Narcotics Anonymous in India.

NA has come of age in India and today there are thousands of recovering addicts in more than ten areas all over the country, north to south, east to west. We are truly a nationwide fellowship and have the opportunity to celebrate our recovery over three days at IRCNA 5 being held in Galudih Inn, Jharkhand, India, from December 12 to 14, 2008.

The Theme: Alive and Grateful

Do you remember coming into your first meeting, barely able to look people in the eye? Soon your body filled out and you felt you could take on the world.

The years passed and you learnt to live life on life’s terms. And you found out that life could be a bummer as reality took big bites out of your serenity.

And then, one fine day, you woke up and felt that everything was alright with the world.

YOU WERE ALIVE.

AND DAMN IT! ... YOU WERE GRATEFUL ...
